We’re Now Accepting Custom Commissions Projects!

Hi friends! It’s that time of the month again already?! The last Friday of the month means it’s blog day!

We’ll be honest, this one took a while to write. It’s been a rough couple of weeks since losing my grandpa, so we took some time off as you’ve probably seen. It’s been great to jump back into working, but at the same time, it was kind of hard to get back into the groove of things without feeling uninspired. Have you tried working or creating when you’re unmotivated and uninspired? It doesn’t go over well usually.

I couldn’t leave out this super cute photo of my first best friend and I. It breaks my heart because I miss him dearly, but it also reminds me how loved I am.

I couldn’t leave out this super cute photo of my first best friend and I. It breaks my heart because I miss him dearly, but it also reminds me how loved I am.

For this blog, we wanted to remind you that, because we clearly aren’t busy enough (HA!), we are accepting custom projects and we also wanted to discuss some of the custom projects we can do for you. Most of the time we create logos and branding for small businesses and band, but we love every project we’ve ever done. From design services to custom clay earrings, we really enjoy creating custom projects for you all.

We’ll get messages occasionally or tagged in posts on social media where people ask us if we can make something for them that they’ve seen while scrolling through their feeds. The answer is almost always yes! However, there will be times where we say no because we wouldn’t want to rip off another artist. If this is the case, we can try to work together to create something new based on the idea you have in mind without stealing from another person.

We pride ourselves in the versatility of our craft because it means we can create a wider variety of items. We can create many things from stickers to accessories to home decor to beeswax melts. We just love to create as if you couldn’t tell. In the (very little) free time we have, we sit down and practice in our different mediums to get even better than before. Practice makes perfect, right? Tell that to our clay earring-making ability (or buy something from us so we can better warrant spending money on buying a clay machine).

Did you know that we offer custom graphic design services? Taylor has been freelance designing with Taylor Huggins Media for around 4 years and completes work for small businesses, bands, photographers, magazines, etc. If you click the link on her media page name, it will take you to her portfolio to check out some of her more public works. Her portfolio website unfortunately has not been updated very recently, but it still shows a variety of her old designs. Creating all of the graphics for Sage & Oak is a really time-consuming part of running our business, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Graphic design is her favorite (I mean come on, just look at our stickers) and she loves being able to freelance. We get so excited whenever anyone messages us or tags Taylor about custom design work. Tagging us or passing our information along to anyone looking for a graphic designer means so much to us, so if you ever see the opportunity to, please do! It costs nothing but your time and could help us gain a potential client. If even if we aren’t the ones to complete the necessary project, it still shows others that we are capable of doing so.

Are you starting a business but need help with branding and marketing materials? Maybe you need help with creating ads for your business? We provide you with unique and web and/or print-ready files so all you need to do is place your order with your favorite on demand printing service. To clarify, our printer is not as high of quality as a professional printer would be, so we recommend printing externally for most projects. In the future, we’d like to start selling high quality fine art prints, but we aren’t there yet.

Not only can we design things for you, but we can also make other items such as window graphics/decals, t-shirts, signs, and so much more by using those designs. For example, we have made t-shirts with our logos on them for us and other people who were interested. We’ve made custom window graphics like store hours on shop windows.

Below is more of an extensive list of the things we can do for you. The list is not complete, (it’s hard to think of everything on the spot), but you’ll get the point. The following items are what we most commonly get hired to do.

  • Logos & Branding

  • Business Card Designs

  • Digital Ads

  • Social Media Graphics

  • Custom Window Decals

  • Custom Car Decals

  • Event Invitations/Announcements

  • Sticker Designs

  • T-Shirt Designs

  • Greeting Cards

  • And So Much More

If you’re interested in our graphic design services, please send us an email with details of the project and we’ll reach back out as soon as we can to let you know if we can take on your project or not. Please remember that we will be limiting the number of commissions at one time so we don’t overwhelm ourselves like we’re used to. When emailing us your project details, be sure to include your budget and deadline to help us decide whether or not we’ll be able to complete it.

Have you stopped into our shop or searched through our website and saw something you liked but wish it said something else or was in a different color? Don’t worry! We can do that, too! Pretty much everything in our shop is customizable in one way or another. We have people reach out to us for customization options all the time and to be honest, those are our favorite projects! We love when people find meaning in our products and ask us to make it more unique for them. It’s so cool learning about what makes people who they are and then comparing how different everyone is. Just send us a message and we can discuss what you’d like done. It’s that simple. Please be patient with us as we’re not always on social media to respond to inquiries immediately.

Now we have to show off because it’s our blog and that’s what we’re supposed to do, right? We’re still getting the hang of it over here, don’t mind us…

We’ve recently made super cute non-binary rainbow earrings for pride month for our friend Bex and an adorable purple marble clay trinket dish for a friend’s anniversary gift to their partner. We have made window decals for some Springfield-based small businesses like Winans and Cyclotherapy (that we still need to hang). We have made t-shirts for events like baby announcements and custom wall signs. We’ve designed custom greeting cards for a family friend. The point is we love creating anything and everything. We try to put as much love and kindness into every project we take on. It makes us feel so full of joy when we do make custom projects because we are creating something special for someone and that is something special to us.

Does any of this sound like something you’d be interested in or maybe you have some questions? If so, be sure to send us an email with details (such as budget, deadline, and ideas) or questions so we can make it happen!
